annabelle had never had a boyfriend before, she'd never been in anything close to a relationship. so this was new to her. she was so innocent and she didn't know how to react sometimes, but she was getting there. she was excited when ryan wanted her to come over to watch movies, so she quickly got up and made her way over to the boys dorm. she immediately told her mom when ryan asked her out, and she was so excited for her. of course, she reminded her not to do anything bad, which then she asked what she meant, and her mother wouldn't give her an explanation. she giggled a little at the memory before finally walking into the boys dorms.
everyone kind of made fun of belle for being so innocent and sweet.. she didn't understand how she was considered a popular sometimes because of it. people seemed to love her a lot, though, so maybe that was why. she didn't really care, just as long as people were happy. she hummed to herself as she walked down the hallway, watching out for the room number. she let a smile come to her lips as she came to his dorm and she lightly knocked, before humming again as she waited for her boyfriend to open the door, her hazel eyes looking around the hallway.

Ryan loved the spotlight, football, and music, but most of all, he loved girls. She was no different. She was everything he wanted in a girl and more. Sweet beyond compare, and beautiful as well. The perfect girl for him. His father always drilled him to keep his football first, and everything else second, and thats what he did. Before he met her, he was putting up 160 yards a game, but when he asked her out, he put up 190 a game. Things were getting better, and she was the reason. The jock quickly picked up his room and threw it all in the closet.
He laughed at the fact that she was coming over. He was supposed to be the one to go to her house, throw pebbles at the window, and play an 80's song, but he chose not to go that route. He heard her knock on his door, and he bounded over to it in what seemed to be a single step. He opened it, and with out saying a word, grabbed her in an embrace, and lifted her up spinning in a circle. "My, my how i've longed to see that beautiful face."

belle let out a giggled, hugging onto his shoulders as he spun around. once he stopped, she let out another giggle before looking up at him with a wide smile, "i've missed you," she said, before getting up on her tip toes, she was a tiny girl, and placing a kiss on his cheek. this boy knew how to make her smile with the simplest of things. sometimes she wondered how she got so lucky to get a boy like him. she looked around his room for a moment, before looking back up at him again, "what are we going to watch?" she asked, her head tilting to the side just a little in curiousity. she had always been the girl to ask questions, it was a trait she got from her mom, "nothing scary.. right?" of course, she would watch the scary movie if he wanted to, she'd just be hiding her face from the movie half of the time.
she played with the end of her hair for a few moments, looking around once more. she was still trying to get used to the whole, 'i have a boyfriend' thing. she loved being able to say it, but she was scared of him getting annoyed with her innocent ways. because she definitely didn't know how relationships went, or what to do. he seemed not to mind, but she was still nervous about it. even her friends would get annoyed sometimes, but she couldn't help it. it was how she was raised. but hey, if he really liked her, he would put up with it. eventually she would get out of her innocent stage, she just didn't know when.. or if she wanted to. her hazel eyes looked back up at ryan again and she couldn't help but smile. she smiled anytime she saw him, she didn't know why. she probably looked silly just randomly smiling up at someone, but she honestly didn't care.

"i've missed you,"
Ryan loved every minute with her. Sometimes he would forget about how happy she could make him, but then she'd walk in and be the sunshine on his cloudy day. He didn't know how he got so lucky, she was a beautiful, honest, loving girl, that basically just fell in to his lap. He couldn't get enough of her.
"what are we going to watch?"
He had picked out a video he HOPED she would like. "Well," he said, "I wanted to watch this with you, Its called Memphis, its a broadway musical." hoping she would be game. He watched many of the musicals, ever since he got into theatre in High School. His father pushed him into football, but he loved the stage. So he did what every father-pleasing son would've done...Played Football.
Ryan grew all fuzzy when she kissed his cheeks. They hadn't done many of the steps he had done with a lot of other girls. They hadn't even kissed, but that would come with time. He just needed time with her. He loved the way she looked up at him, with that smile on her face, and the stars in her eyes. Ryan sat down, and pulled her down gently next to him.

the mention of a musical put a huge grin to her face and she nodded her head enthusiastically. she absolutely loved music, it was her passion. she was raised around music, especially musicals. her mother being very into music, before she got custody, she woud send all kinds of music to her. her mother had been on broadway and she wanted to do the same, it was a dream of hers. she had only ever been in the choir for a musical when she first moved back in with her biological mom, "i love musicals! i was raised around them," she said, excitement in her eyes.
she didn't know that ryan was into musicals, so that just made her like him even more. it was great that they could share that interest. she let him pull her down, sitting down beside him. the smile never left her face, not that she minded. she was just happy to spend some time with him, "i've never seen this musical.. what's it about?" she asked in a curious tone. it was weird, she usually knew every musical there was. then again, sometimes she didn't pay attention to some of the musicals her mother told her about. she tended to get lost in her own thoughts sometimes.

He wasn't surprised when she spoke about how her mother was in a musical. She had that vibe about her, that cool, indie vibe that made her so attractive. She wasn't like the other girls that Ryan had been with, she, for the lack of a better word, was Special, his own little, unique, snowflake. He put a hand on her soft tan skin, and pulled her closer to him. The smell of her hair, the softness of her skin, it was enough to drive any man wild with desire for her, but she was his, and that made him smile.
"i've never seen this musical.. what's it about?"
Ever since he had traveled to New York, and saw this musical at the Schubert Theatre, he fell in love with the story, which you could see in his eyes as he explained what the story was about. "The musical is set in the 1950's and 60's. A white DJ starts playing Black music on a white radio station. Its a story of love, and how music conquers all racial lines" he put a special emphasis on the word love. "Plus", he added, "It doesn't hurt that the music is fantastic, either"

belle smiled when he pulled her closer and rested her head on his chest, where she was able to hear his heart beat. she closed her eyes for a moment, enjoying the moment, before re-opening them and looking up at him. her hazel eyes looked over his facial features, taking in every detail of him. she liked how their relationship wasn't like every other.. not that she would know how any other relationship was. but just by the way people acted in other relationships were different from theirs. they hadn't even kissed, so she hasn't had her first kiss yet, but she knew it would happen eventually. she only hoped he didn't get bored of her from taking it slow.
as he explained the musical, she tried to picture it in her mind. the story was one she knew she would like. so she smiled up at him again and nodded her head, "sounds great. i know i'm going to like it already," she liked most musicals anyone, she hadn't found one that she didn't like, "i love love stories.." she caught the emphasis, but she didn't think anything of it. she didn't see anything special about it, she didn't catch many things.

Her head rested on his chest, and in his opinion, all was right with the world. Sounds stopped, motion stopped, it all stopped, and yet, deep in his soul, he knew they were supposed to be together. He smiled as she looked up at him, and as she did, he kissed her forehead, She was going to make the first move, not him. With one click of his remote, The musical was on, and rolling.
Ryan loved every moment with her, every look, and every way she spoke to him. He wrapped his arms around her waist tightly. As he listened to the music, he saw her bracelet. 'Love live, Be Brave'. He spoke finally, and softly "I know one thing for certain, right now I am really Loving life."
