Ryan didn't really seem to fit in this new place of his. He hadn't been able to get ANY practice in, hadn't met the team, and hadn't met the Cheerleaders. To say it was disheartening was an understatement. Ryan was a natural leader, but if no one believed in him, and he didn't inspire, his words would fall upon deaf ears, But tonight, he put that all behind him. Tonight, he was going to be a gentleman, and bring some happiness to someone in need.
He pulled into the hospital parking lot, one hand holding his keys, the other holding onto his bag of food for Sadie. He didn't know what she was in for. It wasn't his business, so he told himself no to bother with the issue, and just try to be a good person. He opened the door, and asked the Unit Secretary, "Sadie Brexton-Sans's room please." She gave him directions, and Ryan made his way there. He paused at the door, Composed himself and knocked before opening the door, and saying, "Sadie?"

Sadie was just lying in bed, the short hospital gown barely even bothered her any more as her leg rested on a pillow in a cast. She looked a little banged up but it could have been worse. The girl in the bed beside her was already asleep.
The new guy seemed interesting enough. What was interesting was the fact that he said he would actually visit and bring food too. Sadie had only been messing around, not expecting him to take it seriously but she wasn't about to say no to something good to eat, especially with the crap they tried to pass off as food here.
She was just chilling with a can of coke when she heard her name. Turning toward the door, her eyes widened just a little. “Oh wow, you're actually hot,” she said, not expecting that. Well she figured playing football he'd be in good shape but daammn. Still, Sadie was never one to keep her thoughts to herself.
She looked good though despite having been in a car accident. It was all thanks to Kianna bringing her some of her make up and Sadie's natural ability to be enthusiastic and a little hyper. The hospital gown was nearly falling off her but Sadie didn't even seem to notice. She was the sort of girl that would go streaking if you suggested it and not even think twice.
“Is that for mee?” she asked with a grin, spying the bag that had to have food in it.

He wasn't a shy individual, but there was something about her, that made him seem....Normal. She was attractive, but he was here on good will, not on a mission. "Yep, all yours!" he said handing her the bag of everything she had asked for. He took a seat next to her, before exclaiming, "Yeah, I used to work in a hospital, I know how bad the food can get" with a smile on his face. His parents made him, during the summers, work to pay the football costs, and he did so happily, he loved that job, but now, his family had money, and he had to be focused. Ryan couldn't help but notice the injuries to her body..which led him to looking at her sweet, sweet body. He shook that out of his head, and went to the pleasantries, "I'm Ryan, Ryan Guy"

"Ooo thanks!" she said, grabbing the bag happily and opening it. toes wiggling excitedly as she pulled out the food and placed it on the table in front of her. New guy seemed nice enough, and certainly nicer than some of the guys at the school. A lot of the popular types seemed to be jerks to everyone else and the player yeah, don't even get her started on them. The girl even went into anti-guy mode for a while but she was back to her old self again. Happily living her life or at least as much as she could from a hospital bed.
"You did?" she asked with a smirk. "Candy striper Ryan?" she joked, giggling at the thought of him in a dress. That was just soo wrong on so many levels but funny as hell.
She smiled at the introduction. "Ryan Guy?" she asked, looking amused by that name.. That Ryan Guy... Okay maybe it was just easy for her to be amused but at least she was smiling and in a good mood. "I'm Sadie but you already know that," she said, he had to know her name to get this far after all.
"Want some?" she asked, offering him some of the food he had brought her.

"Candy striper Ryan?"
Smile across his lips, as she took a swing at him. He loved friendly banter, and it made him happy. "No, I was in Patient Transport, taking them from place to place, that sort of thing". The chair was very uncomfortable, but he was fine with it, he had been in worse positions. He checked the time on his phone, and put it back in his pocket.
"I'm Sadie but you already know that,"
Ryan was used to starting over every year. Last year, he lost in the State Playoffs, and he had to move...in sorrow, but this year was a new year. "To be honest Sadie, you're the first new person i've met since moving here" he said with a slow inhalation of breath. This was a big first step, but one he had taken many times before.

"Oh wheels," she said with an understanding nod. She got wheeled around sometimes but once she was discarge she'd have to figure out the crutches or get a wheelchair while her leg healed.. Though it was looking like wheelchairs since Sadie had a tendency to fall on her ass with the crutches.
"Really? Well that sucks," She said, feigning like it really did before a grin spread across her face. "Cause I'm the awesomest person in this place and it's all down hill from here," she joked with a grin. She wasn't really that full of herself. Sadie was cool about most things and didn't like to be judge. It was freedom and she liked it that way, just being different was who she was.
She took another bite of the nachos and smiled back at him. "Okay you need to start helping me eat this or I'm gonna get fat and blame you for it," she joked, taking another bite.

Being a football player, Ryan could eat what he want, and get way with it, but not now, he was focused on her. He giggled at her comment on her getting fat, and how it was all down hill from here. "So how are you feeling?, You look Sex..um, like you're in pain, Anything I could do help?" His work in a hospital told him how bad being in one was. He couldn't stand if one of his friends were in one.
His job required him to move everyone, and everything, from patients, to bodies. It made him physically and mentally stronger, so it was the perfect job for him. After school, til 10 at night. What a way to make a buck.

"I what?" she asked, head tilted with curiousity and looking up at him at that slip up. He said sex.. She caught that but it was over too quick making her wonder if she even heard it right. Freudian slip much? Sadie wasn't going to question it though.
"Oh yeah, just got hit by a car, no big deal," she said with a shrug almost sarcastically but she really was handling it well. "Food makes me feel better though," she said with a smile, winking at him since he was the bringer of food and thus the person making her feel better right now.
"So, Sports guy, you like football?" she asked with a smirk, figuring it was a good conversation starter since she already knew he was on the team and everything.

Stumbling his way back, he answered her very quickly, "Whoa, a car? I get hit by three hundred pound linemen everyday...not cars" he said with a small but serious laugh. "So by your standard, I get it easy. She looked like a strong willed women...just what he liked. He had been playing sports since coming out of the womb. Nonchalantly, he answered, "Yeah, you could say that, but I prefer Theatre, to be honest". It's true. He could out do almost anyone in football, or golf, or any sport involving a ball, but he loved theatre and winning, and that was it.

Okay so he ignored the slip up but then Sadie had expected that. She just looked him over again, openly checking him out. All that muscle, of course it wouldn't be a big deal playing a rough sport. "Yeah you look like you can handle it though," she said. "I guess it could have been worse," she said, eating more of the food and staring down at her leg with some sympathy for herself. It wasn't like her to get all mopey and depressed and that wasn't gonna happen even now. Instead she just turned back to him with a smile. "Maybe I'm just tougher than you," she joked with a smug look like she really believed that. She didn't of course, Sadie could act a little crazy at times but she wasn't actually insane or anything. Though, since it was a car and not just some guy on the football team, it seemed like a reasonable argument to try and support. Though she could probably handle a guy like that just fine too. It helped that she looked tough with that attitude and her whole philosophy of not caring too much and just doing her own thing. Plus the sleeve tattoo helped with that punk image too. [ click and click] Daddy was great for letting her have that done but then with all the tattoos he had, it'd be hypocritical to say no. "Excuse me, what?" she asked, looking up from her nachos like he had just spouted some piece of insanity. "Theater?" she repeated just staring at him like he was odd. Since when did jocks start liking theater of all things. "You're not gonna start quoting Shakespeare, are you?" she asked with a raised eyebrow like she actually expected him to. It would be impressive though.

She, from his perspective, was a beautiful girl that had a great sense of humor, but something had to be off, something had to be different about her, a reason why she was so different. He had been hurt enough, the last thing he needed was to grow attached to a girl who turned out not to be what he needed...He needed a stress reliever.
People didn't need act surprised when he told them he was a thespian, but they always seemed to be. The girls seemed to be the worst at it, but that was fine, he could deal. He wasn't a shakespearean actor, but he knew enough to be dangerous. "From fairest creatures we desire increase, That thereby beauty's rose might never die, But as the riper should by time decease, His tender heir might bear his memory" He said finishing with a long look into her eyes.

Sadie was one of those cool girls who weren't impressed by lame attempts at being noticed. It took a little more to get her attention but right now, Ryan had it. Quoting Shakespeare was one of those things that rarely happened. It was an attempt to get noticed but in this case, it was different because instead of having her roll her eyes, Ryan's words made Sadie grin and giggle.
She grinned, looking at him when he was done. "I have no idea what any of that means," she said though looking very happy about it.. Or maybe about the fact that he had said those words at all.
"So, hot and smart. You're gonna get a lot of attention at this school," she warned him. Hell, even him looking into her eyes like that made her blush and that never happened to Sadie. There was just something about him.

He was a pretty popular guy, but by no means did he need to be loved by everyone to survive. He was okay with his little pocket of friends, anyone else was just a bonus. He looked around in the hospital room, his mother used to be a nurse, and he worked with many in his last job, but that feeling of being in a hospital never really stuck with him. He didn't like it, but it was necessary.
She thought he was hot, that was new. He thought that it was funny seeing her talk to him like this. He thought about the words, before saying, "It means, basically, that its best to pluck the petals from love early on, then to let them wither and die," as he leaned forward in the chair.

He seemed nice but then he could get all deep and meaningful with all that Shakespeare stuff. It seemed like there was more to him than what was on the surface and Sadie liked that a lot.
"Wow," she said at the explaination. It did sound interesting.. ish. "Plucking petals, huh? Kinky," she said with a smirk. Her mind had the gift of turning everything around.
"So, Ryan Guy," She said, straightening the thin sheet on her bed. "Tell me something else about you," she said with a smile, looking at him, eager for more information. It was that or he could ask her something but then there'd be the chance that she wouldn't shut up for about five minutes.

He giggled at what she said about the plucking of petals being kinky, It was in a way, he supposed, who knows maybe something good would happen, but probably not. He guessed tonight would end with maybe a kiss, and a lonely trip back to his dorm, but no matter. "Well, Im quite boring, as you can probably see" he said with a laugh, as he got up to fluff her pillow for her. He didn't want her feeling uncomfortable. He accepted the fact, and just left it at that.
